Doll
Life Story
The precise origin of this doll is not known. The schematic features and stumpy arms suggest a central Inuit attribution, and it probably formerly had a full fur costume, as shown in Turner (1894: 258; see also examples from Cumberland Sound in Boas, 1888: 571). A split up the body has been arrested by a large iron nail through the hips.
