Why Do We Take Drugs?
Through a six-month season of interlinked exhibitions and programmes, the Sainsbury Centre explores the question Why Do We Take Drugs? From alcohol and caffeine to ayahuasca and heroin, this season uses art to take visitors on a journey of investigation, inviting audiences to explore the world of global drug cultures from illegal to familiar across one mind-blowing museum landscape.

Young Associates Spring 2025
Young Associates is a free creative programme for young people aged 16-25 years old. Working in response to the question ‘Can the sea survive us?’, Young Associates will explore self-publishing as a means of creativity, community building and activism.

Sea Inside turns our oceanic gaze towards the sea’s more intimate spaces – whether physical, psychological or imaginary – and dives into shared watery origins, Indigenous ways of life and the items we remove from the sea to display on land.

The Sainsbury Centre is proud to host the UK premiere of Paradise Camp, a celebrated work by Yuki Kihara, an interdisciplinary artist of Sāmoan and Japanese descent.
