PIXEL PROJECT
25 April - 3 May 2025Location: Sainsbury Centre Education Studio and Living Area
FREE, no-need to book
PIXEL PROJECT: Art & Games is a partnership between the Sainsbury Centre learning team and City College Norwich Games Design and Development department to activate the museum with play.
Students were invited to develop playable video games that incorporated objects from the Sainsbury Centre, offering ways to see and interact with the collection as never before. Associate Artist Marnie Hardy introduced the students to the galleries and led creative workshops to support them to reimagine the objects in other contexts.
Playtest
On 19 and 20 April 2024 we held a drop-in public Playtest event in the Learning Studio. Visitors were invited to play the students’ game demos, hear about how they approached the project, and offer feedback to inform the final development of the games.
Pixel Project is returning this Spring, with another public playtest taking place over the last weekend in April 2025.
