As some of the most biodiverse habitats on the planet, coral reefs are home to 25% of marine life and can be tens of thousands of years old. Coral reefs are essential to ocean health and the flourishing of human and nonhuman life, yet human-caused climate change has put them under threat. This display includes two video artworks that explore ways to better respond to coral at a time of ecological crisis: Sonia Levy’s For the Love of Corals, and Kasia Molga’s Coral Love Story: Chapter 1- Getting Acquainted.
Coral Love has been curated by Sarah Wade, Art History & World Art Studies at the University of East Anglia. This display is part of our new season: Planet for our Future: How do we adapt to a transforming world?
