Wounded Horse
Dame Elisabeth Frink
Life Story
Frink made this series of drawings as an immediate response to one of her horses catching its head on barbed wire at her home in Woolland, Dorset. The close cropping, which focuses on the injured face of the horse and the vibrant red, encourages empathy and compassion with the creature.
