Miniature effigy
Life Story
Numbers of miniature figurines have been found in prehistoric sites on St Lawrence Island and neighbouring areas (see Bandi, 1977: pls. 54-5, who attributes them to later in the prehistoric era). Their former use is not known. This figurine is of mammal tooth, is so well preserved that it may not have the same age as the others in the collection.
