No. 3 / Between Dimensions Edition
Christine Hatt
Life Story
Vertical monochrome strips have been carefully balanced to stimulate a dynamic optical effect and sense of visual harmony in this abstract print. Christine Hatt’s work is concerned with form and perception, and often explores the potential of repetition and opposites. Born in London in 1954, Hatt studied at the Slade School of Art.
This print is part of a portfolio published to coincide with the exhibition Between Dimensions at the Curwen Gallery, London in 1990. Hatt was one of eight artists selected by Mel Gooding to contribute to the exhibition and portfolio, which also featured work by Adam Barker-Mill, Michael Kidner, Ian Tyson, John Carter, Alan Johnston, Stanislav Kolíbal and Gary Woodley.
