Scottish Women Artists: Charlotte Rostek in Conversation
Friday 20 May, 4.30-5.30pm
Sainsbury Centre Lecture Theatre
Free, pre-booking required
Scottish Women Artists written by Charlotte Rostek is the third in a series of publications produced by the Fleming Wyfold Art Foundation. The book aspires to give ready access to this often overlooked aspect of Scottish art as well as function as a companion guide to the concurrent touring exhibition, Scottish Women Artists: Transforming Tradition which can be seen at the Sainsbury Centre until 3 July.
Co-curators of the exhibition, Gemma Batchelor (Fleming Collection) and Vanessa Tothill (Sainsbury Centre) will join Charlotte in a conversation exploring the personal and professional journeys of Scotland’s women artists and discussing the opportunities and challenges behind producing the book and the exhibition.
This event will take place in the Sainsbury Centre Lecture Theatre, which is located two floors below the Mezzanine Gallery. For further directions, enquire at Gallery Reception on arrival.
When booking your ticket it will say ‘Education Studio’, please ignore this.
